Interesting, never heard of this practice before.
Supposed to nurture the course by burning off 'dead cover', and the grass grows back quickly.

They do have a fantastic course
Season opens July 11th

Maybe this is what Churchill needs to do to see if that will help them with their turf course?

There doing it with all their other properties, that said Churchill is in a city
