I'm sorry for the confusion. Post position 1 breaks from gate 1,2or3 depending on the amount of horses in the race and distance. Post Position 1 doesn't break from gate 1 all the time

Depending on the distance they move it to the right. So sometimes it's gate 2 or gate 3 or gate. They don't use the gate all the way to the left every time

Unfortunately MD doesn't have a Saratoga to lean on, so the next few years will probably be tough. Once the new track is up and running hopefully things will be better. I hope they put more money...
