I didn't mean to imply that I didn't notice the judge's "huge mistake". My point was that our justice system shouldn't be crafted in a way where a violent criminal is allowed to go free simply because some victim "other than the complainants" provided testimony at trial which further validated the defendant's 'loathsome character'.
Can you picture a defense attorney who uses the words "loathsome character" when describing his client to the trial judge, in the act of defending the client's legal rights?
