TWINSPIRES SUCKS
YET ANOTHER NIGHT where I CAN'T GET HONG KONG RACING ON TWINSPIRES.
They don't even SHA TIN on their track list!!!
And CUSTOMER SERVICE IS CLOSED!!
This is like the 10th time this has happened.
Anyone thinking of playing HONG KONG on TWINSPIRES look to someone else.
THEY ABSOLUTELY SUCK!!!

I have Sha Tin on my Twin Spires site. It's weird that it doesn't even show up on your list of tracks.

It shows up on the screen when I initially go to the site.
When I log in, I don't get the original window and it doesn't appear on the track list.

You might have already tried this, but close out Twin Spires, then open it up again, go to the dark blue bar at the near top, hover over the Bet Now tab to the right of the white Twin Spires logo, go down to Express and click on it. If the track doesn't show up, go back up and scroll down to Classic and open that.
Hope it works.

Good News: I'm able to get the track
Bad News: won't accept my wagers. Getting a message that I can't bet Hong Kong as a NY resident.

Here's what was happening, as far as I can figure it out.
When I went to the site, before I logged in, Sha Tin appeared as an active track.
Upon logging in, it wasn't listed as one of the available tracks.
I got around this partially by loading Sha Tin BEFORE I logged in. But then I couldn't get video and I couldn't bet. For whatever reason TWINSPIRES decided that NY residents couldn't bet HONG KONG. Never the case previously.
Figures it would happen when I tipped 4 winners: $8, $14, $45, $51. My best night of the meet and I can't get a bet in. Would've gone from losing to winning for the meet.

You might want to edit your clown comment. New York State law prevents parimutuel wagering on Easter. If you had wagered on the Sha Tin races before midnight, your wagers would have been accepted. Once you crossed midnight, wagers cannot be accepted from New York.

Palm Sunday "blue laws" were enacted in 1973 and repealed in 2015. The Easter Sunday blackout is still in place.

Really?
Let's forget about those times where Sha Tin runs on Saturday, rather than the typical Sunday, and TWINSPIRES is CAUGHT NAPPING!! That's happened, AT LEAST, A COUPLE OF TIMES in the past 2 seasons.
Moreover, maybe a PROFESSIONAL ADW would POST THIS INFORMATION ahead of time, rather than having their SHILL SHOW UP AFTER THE FACT!!
You think?

Frankly, it's a little surprising you didn't realize it was because it's Easter and you live in NY. Not sure why you would lash out at Scott for explaining this.

I'm not religious. Yeah, I know all the major holidays but Easter is not on that list. I don't bet North America and I haven't for close to a decade. So, for example, I had no idea NYRA is not running today.
I have experienced issues with TS before, as I mentioned. It's Humean to assume it was just another screwup on their part.
Ironically, I was on their site TWICE during the day yesterday. Maybe if they had posted a reminder OR, at least, provided that information in their POPUP ERROR MESSAGE, I might not be as pissed. Wouldn't be here complaining if I had know and bet before midnight, obviously.
How long does it take you to recover from a missed $14, $45, and $51 winner day?

Rants like this reflect what many horseplayers experience, though in this case there's a definite self-inflicted wound aspect to it. It's difficult to have sympathy for a player who doesn't have a second ADW to workaround outages and is not aware of state restrictions, in spite of being shut out of multiple winners.
Maybe he's learned a lesson, and will avoid the Easter Dark Day next year.
I've had plenty of reason to cuss Twinspires in the past, mostly due to their ham-handed "upgrade" of their wagering interfaces from the Winticket and Youbet days. But, as always, we have to adapt. I've found their customer service to be pretty reliable and the platform's reliability has improved over the years. I arrived home late last night from a road trip, and was able to squeeze in a bet on the last race at Sha Tin at TS, and there was a time not long ago that TS disabled logins in the early morning and rebooted their systems, which would often cut off access to the last several races in Hong Kong.
But I also have an account with NYRAbets, in case (for any reason) I can't use TS.
So, things are a bit better. Until we have a busy Derby Day.
