the last time i was there, i went for the masscap that offley wild won. i took my wife to the track, we went backside with barclay tagg to show her funnycide. there must have been 50k people that day. in new england we always had good fans in the horseracing game, but things have changed and need to change back to when it was good. today the people that run these tracks went to school in arizona to learn how to run those places. the problem with those colleges are that they teach everything except for the most important thing, common sense.

I'd go there more often if it wasn't such a pain to get to. Praying that someday the NH legislature realizes that casino gambling/slots are everywhere and can actually make money. Then they knock down Rockingham Park, build a new facility and get the flats back.

The grounds are kept up very nice..the dump is inside..so much can be done to turn this place right back to the good old days..maybe if they get that casino bill passed.. put some money in this joint with some good grub and hotel this track will do just fine...

if they get the money i will go there and train my own horses everyday. the reason why is because that surface is unreal to train horses over. only problem we have is the weather doesn't get decent enough until the end of april. but 6 weeks over that track can get most horses dead fit. the fist 2 year old race of the year hasn't gone yet and its already the 3rd week in july. years ago they always had a race go in june to get things started.
