he only lost to sierra by 1/2L @ 1 1/8
horse hasn't packed it in enough to be an easy toss imo

stronghold isn't getting much love at the windows.
and while i'm a little more lenient in races like this, if this was an overnight race the board and action considers the horse dead.

With getting an easy lead which isn't happening Saturday! He will be lucky to finish in the top 10.

For me, narrowing down my selections to the key Derby preps:
BC Juv: - Fierceness - Florida Derby
Muth - Ark Derby
Timberlake - Rebel
Remsen: - Dornoch - Fountain of Youth
-Sierra Leone- Risen Star, Blue Grass
- Domestic Product - Tampa Bay Derby
Risen Star - Sierra Leone - Blue Grass
- Catching Freedom - La Derby
- Resilience - Wood
Sifting these out for best races: # 1 Fierceness
2nd best: #2 Sierra Leone
Since I'm choking on chalk here, I'll need to isolate some of these out of the key preps that might offer value in tri's and super's:
1 Dornoch, 3SL, good race one down
5 Catalytic, 3SL, ascending number pattern .
7 Honor Marie, closer from FG, they get into alot of tri and super due to long stretch that is similar to the CD stretch
15 Domestic Product, got bumped repeatedly, fast finish
16 Grand Mo the First, strong Tomlinson, could clunk up from a midpack trip
20 Society Man, Collateral form with Resilience, could clunk up with a midpack ride from super jock Dettori , has an ideal 82 then 87 BSF.
21 Epic Ride, collateral form with Sierra Leone from Blue Grass, also some polytrack form which adds some sizzle, could clunk up for tri or super.

may not need to be on lead. seems as if they're working him just off the lead.
he does look like he's stagnating a lil and not really getting better. it also seems like he's a little slow as well. but he still shouldn't be 50-1

it's hard to handicap for third. i just don't do it. for me in trips i key a winner and key a 2/3rd horse with a handful of others. so you have to be good enough to finish 2nd for me to key you for third. and most longshots aren't good enough for 2nd
