So I know certain posters love to complain when jocks doesn't position horses according to speed and pace and they lose.
Today's Monrovia had to be one of the greatest examples of a horse positioned totally against where she should have been and winning.
Basically she's coming out of mile and mile and a eighth races where she's dead last. Today she sits fourth off a :43 and change half down the hill and wins.
I would love for CJ to post the TimeForm pace projection because I'm confident it had her nowhere near 4th.
Btw... Santiago is riding about as well as a human being can. Go back and watch a week of his races from the spring and watch the last week or two. You'll be convinced its a different person.
Hence I've been waiting for EMD to post a theory that Santiago Gonzalez is really Ramon Dominquez. They're both from the same country and you've never seen them ride in the same race. Did Ramon sneak back into horse racing?
Her trainer, Jim Casidy, was also surprised by how close she was during the race. He was interviewed after the race and wasn't surprised that she won, but how she did it.
