i missed that very important part about sponsorship. that is a big missing piece of the puzzle, without good sponsors you are going to wind up with too many bad problems. you need good, successful families and organizations that are very familiar with the place the immigrant came from for any plan to work. and people that have lived here for longer period of times.

we do plenty of other things wrong in this country. i remember when people went to work on government jobs to get all the benefits of the jobs like healthcare and pensions but they got less of a paycheck.. today they get all the benefits and more of a paycheck than what the private sector paid. the people that work in governments tend to be not the brightest of all lightbulbs either, but smart enough to know they want to keep those jobs.

Our founding fathers were against this. If you are paying taxes then you deserve to vote. If you want to put a time qualification... fine. One year of paying taxes, then you can vote. That is the capitalist way and I am all for it.

Wrong... Citizenship equates to voting.

Else all those section 8 renters would not be allowed to vote for issues that are tied to property taxes.
