Because we do not live a country of laws.
We live in a country of elitists and idiots.
When you are not held accountable for your actions and the people are far too stupid to understand or too lazy to care, you can do what you want to do.

How do we know the Russians don't already have our nuclear codes?
Maybe they hacked them, maybe she sold them.

Obama emailed her at that address, so he knew, and he did nothing about it.
This isn't just about protecting Clinton, but also Obama. They're both guilty, but they're Obama and Clinton, so they get off scott free.
Don't forget that she's also guilty of the destruction of government documents. Once she set up that server and used it, it was for all intents and purposes the government server, and everything on it by law was to be handed over. She destroyed thousands of emails instead.
While I've always heard that experts can retrieve deleted emails, they can't get Clinton's deleted emails.
Wasn't the FBI also looking into the Clinton Foundation? And they're saying there is NOTHING there? Who are they freaking kidding.
It disgusts me that our government is so corrupt, which is why I've been for Trump all this time.

I read something earlier this morning about a "burn bag," any paper that reveals a meeting or a schedule that shouldn't be on a Sec of State's daily activity gets incinerated.
But not a smidgen of corruption there, either. Same as IRS, EPA, Justice, Commerce, and just about every other weaponized bureau that The One has fundamentally transformed.

When Comey said 'no reasonable prosecutor would bring a case against Clinton for emails' he was letting Loretta Lynch off the hook.
Police officers & detectives don't make recommendations to the prosecutors. All they do is fill out a criminal complaint, put all of the evidence together, and sign a sworn affidavit swearing that the information provided to the prosecutor is true. The prosecutor then interviews the officer/s & witness/es to decide whether to press charges, to bring the case in front of a grand jury or that there is not enough evidence to proceed. So, Comey also stating publicly that he will not recommend charges against Clinton, was also said to get Lynch off the hook, and to fool the public about his responsibilities.
One last thing, isn't it strange that Obama made arrangements to campaign with Hillary, hours before Comey's press conference.

It's deja vu all over again.
On his last day in office, Bill Clinton signed 140 pardons. This raised a big stink, including rumors of pay-offs. There was a federal investigation which found that Clinton had done nothing illegal.
The head of that investigation was US Attorney James Comey.
In 1996, Comey was deputy special counsel to the Senate Whitewater Committee which focused on questionable investments by the Clintons, and also the death of Vince Foster. No charges were brought against them.
Comey did successfully prosecute infamous mobster and career criminal Martha Stewart. Her heinous crimes included lying to an FBI agent.

Very good job bringing all this us, clocker. Mucho kudos and hat tip your way.
I was going to bring up everything you just posted earlier today but since I am on everyone's ignore list it seems, I figured it wasn't worth it since no one cares what I write.
Truly glad you did and you should be commended.

Yes he is a coward and a phony, of course, dartman.
I believe the reason he did not have a press conference with a Q & A was because he saw a couple of those s-bags from Fox News in the audience and Comey knew they'd ask him:
Didn't you consider or even mention Hillary Clinton's direct role in selling Government access and treasure for donations to the Clinton Foundation and Initiative?
All the liberals and Democrats may be cheering and chortling today but it truly is one of the darkest days in our history, especially sad coming just one day following our most revered National Holiday, the Fourth of July.

Justice
What a pathetic bunch of sore losers around here.
Had there been evidence of wrong doing, she gets indicted.
There wasn't, so that's that. Get over it.
If a conservative politician were in a similar situation,
with the same outcome, you would be all-forgiving.
It's who you are, and what makes you tick.
While you're at it, gents (I use that term loosely),
accept that Benghazi was an awful tragedy that,
in the circumstances, could not be avoided.
Of course, HC and others would do things much
differently given the opportunity. That's hindsight.
Something that didn't exist for the last Bush
administration, either, when it comes to 9/11
and the Iraq war.

Actually there most certainly was evidence of wrong doing. If you had watched it, you'd have heard about fifteen minutes of the head of FBI laying it out in plain English. His stance was that it was not intentional, which isn't a necessary component of the crime that many have alleged, and effectively opined that without intent - it wasn't worth prosecuting. There's a bit of truth to that. But for you to play the sore loser she did nothing wrong nonsense just shows you are talking straight out your ass or didn't pay any attention to what was actually said and how the statute reads or you are just ruffling more feathers.

Benghazi could have been avoided by not ****ing up Libya completely in the first place.
