BREAKING - Tony Gwynn has died.
Local radio is looking for confirmations but that is what they are reporting. Possibly, due to cancer.
Sad. Like Junior, a huge presence here in San Diego.

Just saw this on ESPN. Too young to die. He was truly a class act.

Great guy, I'll always remember his voice in addition to his sweet stroke.
A saw an amazing stat about Gwynn. He batted 107 times against Greg Maddox and never struck out while hitting .415.

ESPN Flashback
ESPN aired this several years back. The video is deleted so there is just the 2 of them talking about hitting.

I was always in awe of Gwynn's ability to make contact, the best hitter I've ever seen. Such a likable guy too. We all mourn Mr. Padre.

Terrible news.......
To hear him talk about hitting like it was religion, was always fun.
