Play of the Day: Race 9 Forest Drift (7-2) Has been showing speed against better and the shortening of distance with her first up of the season should help, last time she ran at this level she won paying $22 which was her first up of last season.

Longshot Play: Race 7 Verdejo (12-1) Catches a field with a ton of speed, hopefully with it being the first race after a break for everyone and the speed backs up late and she chases them down at the wire.

Vulnerable Favourite: Race 6 Firing Bullets (2-1) Has shown that she rather run behind others and looks like she prefers the grass.

Wind: 11 mph SW Tailwind in the stretch

Play of the Day: Race 10 Fast Boat to Skye (7-2) First try in Toronto after racing on the artificial surface at Turway where he stalked the leaders but lacked a final kick in the stretch. There is plenty of speed in here for him to try that same tactic but shortening up, should be enough for him to get up over the tiring pace setters nearing the wire.

Longshot Play: Race 6 Unheard (8-1) Don't know if she will be that price at loading time. Third career start and her first at Woodbine, was bet in both her previous races at Keeneland and Aqueduct while showing early speed.

Vulnerable Favourite: Race 2 Busta Groove (5-2) His 12th try in breaking his maiden, just missed in his last against lesser last December at 13-1, trainer at 5% at moving up one class and with the way the track was playing yesterday he'll need to be closer to the pace than his last two.

Play of the Day: Race 2 Fast and Ready (9-5) Is dropping in class after chasing the lone speed winner last week for Casse, hot bug girl picks up the mount against a weak 25k field.

Longshot Play: Race 5 Bee Me (10-1) Showed speed in his only out last July that was scheduled for the grass, gave way to the top two betting choices with 200 metres to go with the second place finisher winning his next out.

Vulnerable Favourite: Race 9 Howboutdemapples (8-5) Prefers running second and all three of her wins have been on the grass.

Watch Runners: Race 1 Sister Cousin (5-1) April 28 race 4 Was bet down to 5-2 in her first race of the Woodbine season against 15k N2L while drawing the rail. Need to lead type broke in a tangle which allowed the betting favourite easy winner a comfortable lead. Was ridden thru the turn but was unable to chase the leader down. Unfortunately she's moving up in class today and is staring to show a preference to running second, worth a play if she goes off around the morning line of 5-1.

Play of the Day: Race 3 Perseverate (2-1) Ran a decent third against a runaway winner in her debut against better at Gulfstream, catches a field where the others have shown any fight in the stretch.

Longshot Play: Race 7 Mighty Sea (10-1) Is taking a drop in class in his first up of the season, hot bug girl picks up the mount for a trainer she's hitting with at 42% for the last year.

Vulnerable Favourite: Race 9 Ready for a Fight (5-2) Was competitive against better last fall after being claimed for 50K last April. Now being dropped to his all time low of 25K, playing the second up shipper from Gulfstream Souper Success to catch him here.
