There were idiots there that day that really did want to take some members of Congress hostage. The dorks actually were repelling down into the Rotunda with full on armed services gear.
Was anybody really gonna take down 'Merica that day? Pfft. You'd have to be as smart as Joe Biden to believe that would have actually happened without force and a serious amount of ammunition and bodies.
What we all really learned that day was our voted upon asshats fully believe they are much more important than us mere voting masses. How do we know this? Well, the 2020 riots told us as much. We had numerous members of Congress including our very own VP bailing 2020 rioters out of jail.
2020 rioters were encouraged to keep rioting. Amid dozens of lives lost and businesses closed to never be seen again. $2B in damage. Cities and neighborhoods completely lost forever.
So in all the mayhem of J6, we not only found that our 'rulers' feel they are much more important than us, but that they will prosecute you to the fullest extent possible if you have any inkling of going against their rule as they are simply much more important than the every day American citizen.
