He is gonna be a good horse. Not at this level, but can win some good races and as a 4YO could be really solid.
Doesn't have a a black type win yet, so expect that coming soon.

IMHO only horses who could have given Code a run would have been Game Winner. Classic distance race horses win classic distance G1's. Of course Tacitus is also a good one and so is Mucho Gusto. I would not let my horse slug it out in a speed duel for a race at this distance, that always gives another stayer a shot to run by you in the stretch.

Seems pretty clear cut to me who the best in that race were.

This race, yes. Those were the 3 I used. PRetty obvious, I thought. Tied between 1 and 2.
By the 3yo picture is different- MS was not there, the Derby and Belmont winners were not there. Tacitus continues to be a second fiddle, Tax an opportunist...I wouldn't give 3yo award to any of them at this point.

Endorsed is not a 10F horse. He needs to run shorter races and I agree could be really solid if he does .

The Derby winner won't run the rest of the year, and Sir Winston hasn't been heard from either.
I doubt we see either ever race again. Too valuable in the breeding shed.

I agree, I didn’t like anyone from the Curlin. I thought that race came up slow compared to the Jim Dandy and Haskell. Plus, Code Of Honor gets no love from the derby run where he was at least second best in that race. I knew skipping the Jim Dandy would boost his price too. Out of sight, out of mind. People were saying he was pace dependent. Yeah in Florida he was but the two before today, derby and Dwyer he was picking them up without a fast pace. This horse is the real deal right now. That was impressive today.
