I didn't blame customers, I blame everyone.

BTW they aren't my customers. I work at a University.

i certainly don't think he is the best guy to run racing, but he does sound like a pretty smart person, and his interest is to see NEW YORK racing remain first class. i am sure he can find some one that can run the racing product in this state better than anywhere else in the continent.

the last few months have been an utter mess for racing in Nrw York. hopefully this will all be put behind.

I hope neither the NYRA brain trust nor the Albany anti-racing faction does anything to diminish Belmont Stakes day. It’s an opportunity for both to share the spotlight, and for racing to show the strength of its following. The Gov. better muzzle Mister Megna, and silence Signor Sabini unless all involved are willing to lower takeout starting on Belmont Day and usher in a new era of customer appreciation to accompany the Triple Crown attempt.

I am praying for a good day on Belmont day. I'm sure it will be a good day

Publicly assigning any blame to a customer for a NYRA mistake is not a smart move for anyone affiliated in any way with NYRA.

If what you're saying is true, NYRA should not be the most popular signal in the country, and yet it is...year after year...clear evidence NYRA has no support from fans.

The Derby had record attendance this year, did it not? More evidence horse racing has no support from its fans I suppose...

Tradition goes along way. And NYRA still has the best horses. It just that they could be so much. That is what is so sad.

Check the poll on this forum......apparently, YOU are the minority here.

How do you explain that?

So because I know people who work there, I'm not allowed to have an opinion? Nothing I say is an official NYRA statement unless I am quoting one, and I never have and never will state anything from them that has not come out officially.

The only person, myself included, not to blame is Rutgers as he's the only one who took five minutes to ask a question. That's true whatever side you are on in this and whatever ends up happening. The rest of us just went merrily along with it. To be honest, I wondered to myself why it didn't drop back and had ample opportunities to ask people involved directly and never did. So yes, players, myself included, are to blame too for not standing up and asking questions.
