No idea what a put option is and on 2 hours sleep I won't remember what it means if I looked it up. Of the 3 companies first listed I had to look up Qualcomm and Applied Materials. I actually thought Applied Materials sounds like a name for a possible source for metal and plastics, no such luck. Since both those companies are in the semi conductor and related support services a politician on any level in the country owning stock reeks of insider trading due to the Chip Act. Both those companies could directly benefit from government handouts or have a client who does.
The scary thing is our politicians are probably less corrupt than in a lot of countries. None of ours get any foreign aid to steal.
Speaking of corrupt, Biden has agreed to buy wind turbines from China and is giving 10s of Billions to foreign corporations to build chip manufacturing plants here. Why isn't that money and purchase agreements going to USA companies? Do USA companies reuse to pay kick backs?
