This is a very special horse who had a lot of men in suits come vist his stall .He is also very special to Jason and Dan who also post on here. The greatest thing is,He will be well cared for and will never die on the track.Ill Miis him as he was so much fun..Happy Retirement Casey!

Did Judge's Case win some races up @ Suffolk Downs? I think I won with him before!

Questions-
I have the following questions-
Would twice the earnings be a good estimate of total money bet on the horse for all wagers?
Did you buy him a halter name plate so people will know who he is?

I have watched him over the past several years as he ran up here at the NJ tracks. he always gave 100% and that is worth more then gold. I feel for you as I have done this with 3 horses over the past 4 years and each and every one is having a great time at their new homes.

Sadly, there are not enough trainers who consider the real welfare of the charges that MAKE money for them.
I have been fortunate in learning the trainer game from a fellow like McShell who kept an old claimer (with known front leg problems) sound until he retired at ten. We need more people like him.

I'm just happy he got to end his career on his terms, with a great bunch of people taking care of him. So many athletes don't get to say when it's over, but somehow he was able to. Someone with the history he was able to make over so many years deserved to finish with McSchell Racing. Hopefully, Tommy will keep us informed on Casey's exploits in his new career.

I don't really consider it to be a sad day. For you to take the time to find a nice home for a horse that won a lot of money should be commended. Seems we should all be happy you would do this compared to what normally occurs.

Hold your head high McSchell. Racing would be a better place if there we're more like you. Job well done. Way to go Judge!! You made it.

Thanks everyone for the great responses, Tom is by far the most honest horsemen you will ever meet. One of his most famous sayings is "The horses do the running, I just take care of them". Judge was a blessing to us and we were lucky enough to enjoy two win photos from him, one of which my buddy V J Stauffer commented on TVG on what a great horsemen Tom and his wife Lisa are Judge will now be treated like a king ( just like he would still be in Tom's barn )
