If there was a shred of integrity in the sport, they'd both be called in to explain their actions. Specifically, what was Jose doing around the turn when he had plenty of room and pretended he was in traffic and why is a dead set speed horse being rated

Some special riding by the Ortiz boys there. Irad rates a horse that should be lone speed and Jose finds traffic where there was none. I try so hard to give them the benefit of the doubt but this was blatant.

I've noticed in our scuffles over the years that when Serling calls somebody angry, it usually means he has nothing of substance about the actual arguments being made or that he himself is angry and is projecting. It's like a modus operandi for dealing with all types of criticism no matter how legit it is. I get it, being a talking head and a dunk tank clown in public as your job is a tough business and requires thick skin. It must be tiring because many of the people you interact with just want to dump on you. I totally get the knee jerk reaction to just call everyone angry.

Just a few weeks ago, he called me angry without even knowing what I said, which was simply a factual correction of his factually incorrect statement, which one of his minions at NYRA eventually admitted was incorrect after all the name calling settled down and the facts took over. There was no anger. Just informed discussion. But since it was dismissed as "angry o_crunk", he missed all that!

When people resort to ad hominem, it's elementary. Might feel good and piss the other person off and most people on the other end react poorly, which is the entire point of the ad hominem deflection. But if you stick to the facts, people like Serling tend to look ridiculous to observers, which I think is pretty clearly what is happening on debates of substance (not saying this is it, just checked in here and it's the usual "your mad" at some rando).
