I'm thinking about leaving out Forever Young from my exotics. His training at Churchill has been less than eye catching but he meets a lot of metrics. Torn. The shipping, the less than stellar works, the rumors of him not being able to handle kick-back...makes me want to fade him completely.

No harm in isolating him to a small straight saver to have peace of mind.

Decided to change my bets up a bit and do a bigger tri, and no super.

$2 Exacta ($40 total)

50 cent tri ($182 total)

Every Derby for about 30 years I put a $200 win bet and this year it is going on Stronghold. A $100 exacta Fierceness over Stronghold. Finally, $20 trifectas with with

These are the only six horses I like. One of the three deep closers will run a big race, just not sure which one it will be.

Very nice. After picking Mage last year, I see you step right up and swing for the fences again. horse currently 32-1 in early betting. A wee bit surprised you didn't opt for Mage's full brother in the hole, but I suppose you don't want to push your luck.

I'm going outside/inside myself with a cold super:

I like a bit of speed and stalking trips with the 1 and 19, and the two bit closers I picked out of the future pool 2 last November. Don't see the rail being as big a problem with the new starting gate, and hoping or (or both) get good trip(s) at a price.

Saver tri bet:

Several open questions about the and maybe a couple of others, but....can't play them all. Tempted to toss the 8, 11 and 17 from the 3rd slot in the saver to "save" a bit of money, but we know how that can bite you.

Good luck everyone!

14 & 18 TO WIN AND SHOW

Hi Everyone!

See my post: "Nick Borg's Spirit PICKS For Kentucky Derby 2024" for more details for the WIN PICKS.

I'm wagering as follows AND IN ORDER OF PREFERENCE:

WIN PICKS
Endlessly for $ 8.00
Stronghold for $12.00

PLACE
None

SHOW
Endlessly for $20.00
Stronghold for $20.00

EXACTOR:
over (No reverse wagering) for $1.00 per combo = $14.00

TRIFACTOR:
None

SUPERFACTOR
over over over for 0.20 cents combo = $67.20

TOTAL $141.20

My logic is to wager WIN, EXACTOR, SUPERFACTOR for about $100.00 and then cover this with show bets in case they lose. You can do the same with your bets once you've isolated a winner or two. It really is worth it to wager the SUPERFACTOR! Imagine if you could win 100 thousand dollars!

Sincerely Triopstor.

17 19 and 2 have, by far, the best hidden fraction

As pointed out elsewhere here and every year, in order to win 100,000 on a super you have to be holding a $1 ticket.

Exacta box

Will also take a flyer on longshot Just Steel , WPS. He has some good races and some clunkers, but he ran a nice 2nd in Arkansas Derby and was running hard at the end.
