I don't know why Likud wouldn't just dump Netanyahu going into the next round. I'm not super familiar with the intricacies of the Israeli system but Blue/White or Likud with a new face seems a much better bet than letting Bibi take another crack at it... if he's even a free man.

He's pulling out all (laughable) stops right now though...

He delivers. A great stump speaker and master politician. He’s indispensable to the party. In a country where every politician is an Elizabeth Warren, he’s Bill Clinton.

Election 2: Knesset Boogaloo

Thoughts?

Netanyahu has not had a very good week leading into this. Think it flips a couple of those seats to Blue / White?

I didn't.

I knew it was going to be close. Bibi pulled out all the stops trying to buy votes last time. He's back at it today and the past 24 with annexation of the West Bank talks.

Going to be interesting.

OK, I looked...seems like in reading the first 13 posts in this thread, you were off the mark. But that's just my interpretation...still, seems like "Bibi going down," while not your exact words, was the gist of it...

Maybe you should have waited a few more months...

If that's what you got I suggest Hooked on Phonics.

I said it was going to come down to the wire (it did) and forming a coalition would be tough regardless (it was).

I don’t think it matters.

Rivlin knows who will be PM. This time round he will make sure of it.

Either party could form a coalition. I prefer Gantz as it would freeze out the nastier far right/religious parties.

Benjamin "Bibi" Netanyahu the longest serving Prime Minister of Israel is one of my hero's. Everyone who has been anything for a long time has enemies and critics in many country's, I favor those who genuinely love their country.

Only real progress would be considered to be "meshuga" by a liberal.

And besides...don't you know that Israel really has to piss off all the piss ants in the world just before the final curtain to the final act is raised on the world stage?

Needing every jackboot he can find. Openly courting the ‘Kahane’ vote.

Daddy would be proud.
