And by the way, you skeptics: If there was ever a self-righteous human being who walked this earth, it was Jesus Christ! What sayest thou about this little "factoid"? Jesus even challenged his detractors to convict him of sin.

No. The self-righteous are the righteous on this forum whom Christ did not come to call into his kingdom. The righteous need no saving, remember? NO! I'm in Christ because I'm born again. My righteousness in him is a legal standing -- a positional one, a once and or all divinely declared standing which the bible calls justification, and which occurs at the moment of regeneration. I have no righteousness of my own. All I have is His -- thanks be to God, otherwise I'd still be an unwashed sinner!

But the anticrhists of the world hate Christ's righteousness. There are even some here who have questioned his sinless perfection. Unlike the born again children of God, the antichrists rely solely upon their own righteousness, and think this will suffice for them on the Last Day -- IF....IF....IF indeed there is a Judgment Day (so they think).

24 "Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment."

And there is only one way to do that, having a thorough knowledge of God's revealed will.

And how in the world were the judges of Israel to judge righteously between their fellows (cf. Deut 1:16,17)? The sin in judgment is when people judge according to the flesh (our evil nature, cf. Jn 8:15).

See my last post. You're dead wrong. And why are Christians supposed to have our senses trained to discern good and evil, if not to make spiritual/moral judgments?

And how is the Church to make moral/spiritual judgments among its members when necessary, if the elders are prohibited from making those judgments? You have no clue of what you speak.
